How does the 30-day free trial for the Premium Package work?

If you sign up for the free 30-day trial of the Premium, you get unlimited access to our Premium Features for a full 30-days. At the end of the trial, you will have the option of continuing with the paid Premium Package or else you will automatically be converted back to the Free Package and you will lose access to the Premium features.

Do I get the full 30-day free trial if I pay from the beginning or upgrade to the paid package part way through the 30-day trial?

Yes, regardless of whether or not you sign up as as a paying customer from day 1 or if you upgrade partway through your 30-day trial, you will receive the full 30-days of free Premium service. If you plan on continuing for the service after the 30-day free trial, we highly recommend that you upgrade before the end of the trial to avoid service interruption since we will automatically disable the Premium features at the end of the 30-day trial period and they will not be available until you switch over to the paid Premium package.

What's the pricing plan and how does it work?

We bill (at the end of each month) for the service based on the total number of MAUs (see the section How do you calculate MAUs for more details) that month across all applications in your account. We have special introductory prices of $200 for up to 500K MAUs and $500 for up to 1M MAUs. For more than 1M MAUs, see the full price list.

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes, you can change your plan any time under "Account" -> "Account Type" as long as you have administrative privileges.

How do you calculate MAUs?

MAUs are calculated internally by Kontagent as the number of unique users who have "initiated an action" in the application in the calendar month. We consider a user to have "initiated an action" if we received a event message that contains a unique identifier for that user, such as a page view, invite response, revenue transaction, custom event.

What types of payment do you accept?

The only form of online payment we currently accept is Paypal, but will be adding credit card soon as well. If you cannot pay via Paypal and would like to pay via money order, certified check or wire transfer, please contact us at billing@kontagent.com to make special arrangements.

How do you charge for partial months?

We pro-rate the monthly MAU subscription price by percentage of days Kontagent was used out of the entire month. For example, if you used our Premium package for 15 days of a 30 day month, we would bill you for: rate at MAUs for the full month x (15 days /30 days).

Do I have to sign a long term contract?

No, you do not need to sign any long-term contracts. You are free to sign up and leave the service any time you want. But if you leave, you will be charged for any usage up to that point.

Do you give refunds?

No, we do not provide refunds.
